First of all the new layout. Do you like it? If you have a blogspot blog then you know have some new options in designing your blog. They have a nice selection, and after a little bit of working with it, it wasn't that hard.
I have been so busy this blog has kind of been neglected. I still post, and do the traffic to it, but I just have not had time to put a little extra into it. Now it is summer vacation, and I have some free time.
I will be accepting 10 text links of blogs that are either about jewelry, crafting, gemstones, or collecting that will be under my Friends of Melissas Gems header. Some of you who have been reading my blog for a while may notice the pendant. It has been available in my store for sale. But without a chain it didn't get a lot of interest. So I made an apatite necklace for it to fit on, and the results are beautiful. It is more of a choker necklace measuring 14 inches, and is just perfect for your summertime outings. I am trying to learn to take better pictures of my loose gemstones. These are two trillion shaped amethyst stones. One is 9mm the other is 6mm. The 6mm stone appears to have something on the surface it looks like a dot. It is barely noticeable, and could probably be hidden in the setting.
