New Painting: Bird Over Water

Monday, is my day to paint. Most weeks anyway. This week I painted more Easter jars with bunnies. I will share those in another post. They are so cute. They will be available in my Etsy store. The sable colored bunny has already been listed. If you just do small Easter baskets, I think they would be adorable with candy and trinkets, and then put a candle in them after. I got the inspiration for this painting in a book I bought a garage sale. It is photographs that someone changed into 3D art. I really liked the image, and while mine is not close to being like the 3D image it is quite lovely. It is also my first time painting a waterfall. I have to get watching some videos on how to paint waterfalls, and water in general. What do you think of it? I really like it. It too will be available in my Etsy store. I really am enjoying learning to paint animals and nature in general. I also did another abstract painting, again for another post. I have done two so far, and well lets just say my son thinks they are cool. Not sure if that is good or bad, lol!

Pink Ereader of Flower Girl Bag

I love this adorable pink and white bag. My 7 inch e-reader/tablet fits in this bag perfectly, or it would be an adorable gift bag or flower girl bag. I am in love with this color pink and it looks awesome with the white. I will definitely use this color some more. Also in the same color pink is the pink blanket with white ruffle trim. I don't have the exact measurements yet, but it will be listed in my Etsy store soon.

Painting on Cast Iron Pan

I love painting Nature. It is one of my favorite things to paint. As I still consider myself a learner, I continue to improve. This is a cast iron pan, you know like the kind you cook with, except much smaller. It had a candle in it, which I burned off, cleaned it and then painted berries on it. This is my first try at blackberries and raspberries. The raspberries I like, the blackberries not so much. They are just OK. Next time I will add a hint of dark red to see if that helps. This pan is small, but heavy. You could use it as a weapon, lol. It will be available to purchase in my Etsy store as soon as I can get it sealed. I have other paintings to share with you too, just not today. I thought painting on iron would be similar to painting on metal, but no it is not. You need a lot more paint when you paint on iron, and it is rough not smooth.

Two New Paintings Heart Sunset and Zebra Heat

Monday, Caitlin and I got in some painting. She started her zebra painting, third painting, but as you can see opted to finish it another day. You can see my finished zebra painting. It is very hard to paint animals, but I am slowly getting better. I find roses to be much harder than animals though, lol! The heart sunset is a very cool painting, and I am very pleased with how it came out. Both of these paintings will be available to purchase in my Etsy store, soon.
