Emerald and Red Sapphire Ring

I can't believe it is the end of July and I haven't even shared any Ruby jewelry. Now when I bought this semimount it was sold to me as a red sapphire semimount. Red sapphires are rubies, but I think these red beauties are probably lab created though the seller denies that. If they are not lab created they are truly perfect and beautiful. I am going to assume they are lab created and will price it as such. The emerald however is real. I set it in the semimount myself. It is small but has fine color and clarity. It is sterling silver size 6, and will soon be available in my Etsy Store.

Peridot Rondelles and Wire

This is the rest of the supplies I would need to complete the Tree of Life pendant. I do not like the color of the peridot beads, so I might have to look elsewhere. The color of the ones I do like, are quite expensive. When did Peridot become so expensive? Jeepers. Anyway now I just need to save some pennies to buy all my supplies, and hopefully I will be making it very soon.

Emerald Rondelle Beads: Jewelry Making

I am collecting on this blog, the gemstone beads I need to learn to make a Tree of Life Pendant, which is in the archives if anyone is interested in learning. I am going to use the birthstone beads of myself, children, and my husband. Since my son and husband are Rubies, those were already shown. Here are the Emeralds that will represent my daughter. Then I just need to find the Peridot to represent me. I will need to see what size wire works best as well before hand. I can not wait until I can actually finally make this piece.

Faceted Ruby Rondelles: Jewelry Making

Since the birthstone for July is a ruby, I thought I would share some links to purchase jewelry making pieces with rubies.

Summer is sizzling and so is our FEST Blog Giveaway for July from GardenWhimsiesByMary . Mary has combined her love of gardening with decorating and producing gorgeous unexpected treasures to add whimsy to your garden. Her pieces are one of a kind garden art and so colorful and fun as seen in this month’s Giveaway - a Sapphire Blue Petite Plate Flower.
Mary stacks plates for “flower” garden stakes and fits them with a holder on the back so they can be set on a copper pipe and placed anywhere. Her amazing talent for combing colors and textures is evident in all of her works of art. An added benefit is her love for bringing new life to objects that might otherwise find themselves in a landfill. Treat your garden to a touch of Whimsy!

More Finished Counted Cross Stitch Pieces

Here is another finished piece from my counted cross stitches. I did these years ago, but then when I finished I had no idea what to do with them, so I stored them all these years. It has been like ten years. My mom, who is a sewing phenom, made this table runner, using my finished turkey cornucopia. The other two pictures show it much better. Unfortunately this one is not for sale, but she is working on the rest of my pieces, including some Winnie The Pooh totebags, a Thomas Kinkade tote bag, and a few more table runners. So if you are interested in any of these things, keep track of my blog, or check my store every now and then. Please remember that 10% of all my sales, will be donated to the website of Missing and Exploited children.

How To Beaded Cuff Demo

This video is long, but she shows you how to do the beaded cuff with each step. If you really want to learn how to do this, check it out. I am still thinking there has to be a little bit of an easier way to do this, so I will have to do some experimenting. She made her cabochons herself with polymer clay, something else I am thinking about learning to do. Enjoy!

How To Make Your Own Charms

These are so cute, and it looks easy enough to do. It is using clay to make your own charms, for charm bracelets, pendants, earrings, whatever you like to use charms for. I think this would be great for my daughter to learn to do. Awesome video!

New Charity Event For My Etsy Store

Starting today and until I don't feel the need to do it anymore, 10% of all the sales in my Etsy store, will be donated to The Center For Missing and Exploited Children.

I have been wanting to do this for sometime, but could not decide on a cause to donate to. There are so many good causes. I chose the one I chose because of so many children we never hear about, never get any attention, never get a voice in what happened to them. If you would like to make a purchase from my Etsy store, just click the link and visit. This banner will be on all my blogs, and anywhere else I can put it.

These donations will be a bi monthly event. That means every other month, any sales I may have had 10% of that total will be donated to the site stated, using their donation link. I will post all receipts for donations made, to prove this is not a scam.
