Etched Glass Spring Easter Bunny Candle Holder

This particular piece is made to order only. I have the pattern saved, so you would need to go to my Etsy shop, if you are an Etsy member, or my PatternbyEtsy shop if you are not an Etsy member and don't want to be.

This is a reclaimed glass candle holder, that I drew the image on, and then using my Dremmel etched the pattern into the glass. It is 3 inches tall, but it has a chip in it, that is why this one is made to order only. Please keep in mind no matter what type of glass you want it on, it must be at least 3 inches high for the pattern to fit. If you want more than one, ask me about bulk pricing. Please always remember to plan ahead, to give me enough time to collect the items needed, make the product, and then ship it to you. The sooner the better. It does not have to be just for candles, can be for a small water garden plant, candy, small trinkets, etc. Great table decor or party favor.

Make It Monday!

Today, for Make It Monday, I have a few items to share. The blue wine bottle with the etched glass forest animals was actually done last Monday. I just forgot to share it.

The Ombre Pink terra cotta flower pot, is a yard sale find, that I painted with acrylics. I love ombre color schemes. This will have something beautiful planted in it, and put in the garden. These are super easy to make. Just clean the terra cotta pot, and then choose three colors to make the ombre. I like to do colors kind of in the same family, like red, dark pink, and then the lighter pink. But, you could use any combo. I hope I find some more of these pots at good prices.

Last, but not least, is this beautiful swan I am painting on the back of a pink Tshirt. This is my second week working on this, and it might take two more before it is done. But, I love it already. This one, and the woodland wine bottle will be available in my Etsy and PatternbyEtsy shops, within the next day.

What did you make today? Oh, I also planted cucumbers and gourds. I hope the gourds grow, I want to make birdhouses.

Melissa's Day 2017

I have so much fun with websites that share obscure, or little known about holidays. Did you know that there is almost a holiday every single day of the year? Neither did I. But, these little known holidays help my creative side make these lovely Polyvore treasuries. I was doing them daily, but I just don't have time for that. Each item in the set is from an Etsy or PatternbyEtsy shop. Simply click the links at the bottom to go to Polyvore, and click through to the shops, or click the links below to go directly to the shops, and browse all the wonderful items. Missy69 is offering 10% off all items through April 17, 2017. Use coupon code Easter2017 to receive the discount. If you have an Etsy, or PatternbyEtsy shop, and would love to be featured in a Polyvore treasury, and then on this blog, please comment below so I can contact you with info.

Make It Monday!

I love Mondays! Monday is the day, for the last 4 years, or so, that I take time to be crafty. I do it every Monday unless I absolutely can not. Unfortunately, I have been a blogging slacker during the last year, or so. So, now each Monday I will try to share a new video tutorial that I find, a clever idea, something I have tried, upcycled ideas, or just other craft ideas. Hopefully that will keep me on track to post at least one good post each week. I love doing the Polyvore sets, and sharing them here, but it is a lazy way to blog, lets be honest. So, I might have mentioned that I got a Dremel for Christmas. I wanted to learn to etch glass so bad. Then I got sick, on Christmas night, and though we still don't know for sure what caused it, it knocked me out of commission for a long time. So, when I went to try out my months old Dremel I discovered somewhere along the way I threw out the charger. My husband replaced it, so I was back in learning business.

I love to learn new things. I tried several different techniques shown on tutorials and websites, but man I just didn't like either of the two. So, I came up with a method that worked for me, to get the image on the glass, and voila I was creating beautiful pieces. The item below is a lovely glass serving bowl that I found at a consignment shop, and then I etched on the Easter chick with eggs and flowers. It is so adorable. I just finished a whole bunch of new pieces tonight, and I can not wait to share them. My hand is killing me, surprised I can even type. Did I mention you really have to have a steady hand when using the Dremel, and it really cramps your hand? It does. To purchase this beautiful bowl, or check out any of my other items, visit my Etsy shop. You can always search #missy69, or #missy69pattern. The first shop is for Etsy members, and the second is for those who do not want to be an Etsy member, but might still want to shop on Etsy
