The Heat Is On!

This week, on Team Support and Promote, the theme for this blog post is HEAT. The heat is definitely on here in the Sunshine state, where I live. I hope it is warming up where all my readers live. I chose items that were red, or orange, to represent heat for this theme. You Know the Superbowl is Coming, Right?

I love football! If you read this blog, then you know I started a series of paintings in team colors. I started with some peacocks, then a horse, and now these two to commemorate the two teams in the Superbowl this year. These can be for any team, or group, that uses these colors. I do not use official team logos in my art, names, or trademark symbols. Now that the football season is over, I will probably have to get to the rest of the colors next year. After all St Patrick's Day, Easter and Mother's Day are all right around the corner. If I have the proper colored beads, I might try to squeeze out some jewelry before the big game. I actually did a peacock in the navy blue and orange colors. I am a navy blue and orange fan, lol~ To see the two below, and all my other items, visit my Etsy store. 

First Day of School Painting

I am a member of the On Fire for Handmade Etsy team. Each week they do a theme treasury. This week the theme was back to school, and I painted this little boy on his first day of school, just for that theme. Isn't he adorable? He is all done in acrylics and is available to purchase in my Etsy store. I will be doing a little girl version soon. My daughter painted with me, and she painted the lovely horse painting shown. She will be entering her art work in the North Florida Fair with our 4H group. Today, I think I am going to dabble in some jewelry making. I finished two crochet projects, that I will be sharing soon also. I will be doing my first vending event, with my mom and daughter, on Sept 14 at the Greathouse Butterfly Farm. So, all my jewelry, and some of my paintings and crochet items will be going there. If there is something you want in my store, better get it. Especially those Clearance items.
