Red Diamonds, April is Diamond Month

Another variety of diamond colors is the lovely, and stunning red diamond. Red diamonds are irradiated to achieve the bright red color shown. As you can see this gemstone has the same color, and tone as several other gemstones not as valuable as a red diamond such as garnets, rubies, red andesine labradorite, and red spinel. When purchasing colored diamonds, be sure to buy from a trusted, and reputable seller to avoid paying a lot of money for something other than a red diamond. Diamonds are the birthstone for April babies. Diamonds have a hardness of 10 on the Mohs hardness scale. You would pay handsomely for a red diamond of this size, color, and clarity.

*sigh* What a beauty! I was just looking at the one from Australia that is up for auction (in that amazing ring). Gorgeous! I didn't know it is Red Diamond Month. It would be fun to see one in real life. Thanks for sharing the info.

It isn't really red diamond month, I just call it that because the diamond is the birthstone for April babies.
