So, I had been doing peacocks, in team colors. Last week, as an Art assignment for my daughter's History class, I drew out and painted a horse in Fall colors. I am so pleased with how this came out, that I think I will do more in other colors, and abstracts. I love horses! I love all animals, but horses are so majestic, and beautiful. This painting is available in my Etsy shop. I have an adorable Tom Turkey all drawn out, but haven't found the time to paint him yet. I also have to revamp a reading chair, for my daughter, which will include a wolf painting on the chair. I hope to have that done soon, with the cooler temps here in Florida. Be sure to check out my Etsy store. It is never too early to start shopping. I offer layaway~!
Change is good! I have reopened a new Etsy Pattern store, called the Pink Flamingo. I have a ton of inventory to list, and could take a while. I am looking at some other new creative endeavors that have more to do with teaching. My kids are growing up, and it is time to expand my wings. Join me in this new creative adventure!

Unique One Of A Kind Yellow and Black Steelers Color Painted Peacock Abstract Art
Last week I did the Bills, this week the Steelers. My husband is a die hard Steelers fan. Next will be a team that has green in it's team colors, because Peridot is the birthstone for August. My black paint pen, that I outline with, decided to die on me last night. It is much more difficult to outline with a tiny paint brush, so I kind of was not super happy with this painting. It does look stunning in the pics though. This one is yellow and black, as you can see. I will be doing one peacock for each professional team. They are available to purchase in my Etsy shop. I do not sell prints, just my original paintings. Please remember, that I list new, and renewed items each Friday. So, this painting will not be available until August 21st. I offer free USA shipping, and a layaway service. Christmas is coming, start getting ready now. Click here to visit my Etsy shop, and check out all my awesome items.

Are You Ready For Some Football?
I love football, but mostly just the pros. My hubby watches it all, but the NFL is my preference. I also love peacocks. So, I drew out a peacock, then painted it in the colors of my beloved Buffalo Bills, red and royal blue. I will be doing one painting in each team's colors. A more feminine football painting. If you are interested in one of these, contact me through my Etsy shop, and I will do your colors next. Each will be available in my Etsy store. I also will be making redneck wedding glasses, they are so cute, and am finishing up a Fairy Queen crochet infant Halloween costume, in purple and black. Not much jewelry making, just not in the mood for it. Check out my Etsy shop for all my cool items. I offer layaway! I just sold out of the soft pink resin butterfly keychain. So, if you wanted that, it is gone. This peacock painting will be available tomorrow, 8/14 in my Etsy shop. Most renewals, and new items are listed on Friday through Sunday, so keep that in mind.

Making A Painting From A Photograph: Honeymoon Island State Park
On Mother's Day, we visited a new state park, new to us, here in Florida. Honeymoon Island State Park is a beautiful park. I love to take photos, it is just so much fun. Then I like to turn the photos into pieces of art work. I haven't done this with all my photos, but some of my favorites. This is a picture of a sailboat at Honeymoon Island. It is all done in acrylics. It is available to purchase in my Etsy shop. This would be a great Father's Day gift, for any Dad that loves boats, the ocean, or just the lovely blue hues.

Garden Angel Fairy Acrylic Abstract Painting
I decided to go ahead and list my Garden Angel Fairy, just the way it was. I looked at it again, and decided I was satisfied. She is done in acrylics, and available to purchase in my Etsy store. A lot of people ask me why I don't paint on canvas. Well, for one I don't care for canvas, and I find it exceptionally hard to keep dust and dirt free. A framed piece is so much easier to keep clean, and move around. Plus canvas is a pain, and very expensive to ship. Those are my reasons.

New Painting: End Of Summer Vacation Beach Painting
I have been wanting to paint this for a while. I guess waiting until Summer is almost over wasn't a bad idea, lol. This is a little boy, with his sailboat, sitting on the beach watching the boats go by. It is the last day of his Summer Vacation, and time to go home. I will be doing a little girl one as well, just not sure when. Monday, is when I usually paint, but we have a 4H banquet, so maybe Tuesday of next week. This would look delightful in a little boy's room, or for anyone who is nostalgic about the beach. You can view, or purchase, in my Etsy shop. Be sure to check out all my other items. Christmas is coming you know.

Waiting For Christmas
I got to paint today, and tomorrow I can't wait to share the Salvation bracelet's my daughter's church class will be making with me. This new bag is called, Waiting for Christmas. It was not exactly what I visioned, lol. I practiced my trees ahead of time, as you can see on the paper underneath the bag. I used three different brushes, and picked the one I liked best. Unfortunately my tree came out bigger than I wanted and I have to practice ribbons and lights, but it is a nice tree. It didn't leave me much room, so I added a fireplace and fire to the picture. It will be available to purchase in my Ecrater store, by tomorrow. Then I practiced some Poinsettias. I love them, but they never look quite right. I am getting closer though, and was quite pleased with the ones I practiced today. My next bag might be Poinsettias. Finally, I got one of my older paintings framed. This frame was much more affordable than the heavier wooden ones, so the price will be considerably lower for the art work in these frames. It too will be available in my Ecrater store, tomorrow. You can visit my Ecrater store, by clicking on one of the banners shown on this blog. I offer a nice layaway service so be sure to ask about that.

Two New Paintings Heart Sunset and Zebra Heat
Monday, Caitlin and I got in some painting. She started her zebra painting, third painting, but as you can see opted to finish it another day. You can see my finished zebra painting. It is very hard to paint animals, but I am slowly getting better. I find roses to be much harder than animals though, lol! The heart sunset is a very cool painting, and I am very pleased with how it came out. Both of these paintings will be available to purchase in my Etsy store, soon. Be sure and check out all my paintings, jewelry and crochet items, by clicking my Etsy store widget above.
