Make it Monday: Fall Halloween Theme Painted Wooden Fairy House with Pumpkin Totem Stools Included

Yesterday, for Make it Monday, I was able to get a new Fairy House done. It is painted black with orange and yellow flowers. The two stools that go with the house, are painted pumpkins make into a totem stool. I also painted a pair of canvas sneakers with glow in the dark paint, also in a Fall theme, but don't have a pic for those yet. Finished Fall Motif Painted Door

I finally got to finish the back door of the house. I did this all in acrylics and is completely free hand. Though I have to say there is a lot to be said for lightly penciling in your items. For example, the trees, leaves and bunny, I have done lots of times and am very comfortable with. However, the squirrel and the deer, I have never done and they look slightly awkward. I still love it and am happy to share with all of you. Did you know that Folk Art by definition is art work done by people who have no art training. I guess I qualify as a Folk Artist.

My New Hand Painted Fall Table Setting

Check out my Fall table. I have hand painted all the items shown. Some were great treasures that I found at a thrift shop and revamped via painting into something new and beautiful. My daughter and I also painted the shower wall in the one bathroom. I will share that later. I will go through each piece on my new Fall table, in the next few days, so you can see them up close. I will tell you how I did it, and how you can do it too, all for close to nothing. Painting can be an expensive hobby, but I am finding it even more affordable than jewelry making, which I still love and adore. There is one piece missing from the table, but I will show it when I get to it. The Modge Podge sealer works best of all the sealers I have tried. The others leave a film that I do not care for at all. I reduced my Christmas ornaments down half price, because I don't like the way the other sealers look on them.
