This is a glass cylinder shaped vase, with a rose and hummingbirds etched into the glass. There is some room for names and dates, if you want it personalized. I draw the images onto the glass, and then using my Dremmel, I etch the image into the glass. Glass etching is permanent, and will not come off. It is dishwasher safe. Gifts for Wine Lovers

Yay, I got a post in besides Make it Monday! Right now, in my Etsy shop, I have 10 different items that can be gifts for wine lovers. One is shown below, and etched glass red wine bottle with strawberries on it. Some of my wine bottles are painted, some are etched glass, and there are some vintage silver wine goblets too. The wine bottles are new, and unopened,unless otherwise stated. You could put candy, soap, or other things in these wine bottles, but of course you could put wine in them too! Make It Monday: Garnet Topaz Ring, Reclaimed Pilgrim Glass Jar

Before I get to this week's new projects, I am working every Monday in Oct, so Make it Monday posts will be delayed. I finished one other project today, but didn't get pics of it yet. My Etsy shop started with jewelry that was made with gemstones from my personal collection. I got away from that over the years learning new things, and just being bored. I have added several new gemstone pieces to my shop, and will try to make a new piece each month.

 The one shown is most likely Red Garnet, and White Topaz, sterling silver, size 7, double stone bypass ring. I love red and white together, especially in the Winter months. Finally it is cool enough, here in FL, in the eves to be outside doing new etched glass pieces. The one below is a huge 11 inch reclaimed glass jar with Be Ye Thankful, pilgrims and pumpkins etched into the glass. I did the image so that the jar can be inverted with a solar light or flameless candle under it.

Etsy Christmas in July 2016 Starts on July 1st

I almost forgot about the Etsy Christmas in July Event.  I participated last year, for the first time.  I will be having a store wide sale, with 10% off.  You can use EtsyCIJ2016 at cash out, or if you forget it should automatically deduct it for you.  But, don't worry if it doesn't for some reason, I will be contacting customers with the good news about the extra savings.  This year I am trying to create all new Christmas theme items, for this event.  You don't have to do a Christmas theme, but what fun.  I have already finished a baby blanket, and working on some more items, including jewelry, some painted table decor, and maybe a few more tidbits. 

Christmas in July runs from July 1st through July 10th.  Start your Christmas shopping early.  I will be sharing my items, as well as items from the team.  You can always find my shop by clicking the My Etsy Shop banner, on the left hand side of this blog.  I do custom orders as well, and I am pretty sure I can have them done by Christmas, especially if you order now, lol.

Ruby-Throated Hummingbird Acrylic Painting Missy69

As you can see, I am not blogging as much as I would like to. I need to get onto some kind of a schedule, like I used to. My homeschool blog is need of attention as well. Oh well.

 I actually did two of these ruby-throated hummingbird paintings, one facing East, and the other West. I was going to list them together, but then I thought what if someone only wants one. They are painted exactly the same, and both are available in my Etsy shop.  If they look a little bit different it is because I had to use two different cameras, so lighting setting was different.   They are done on wrapped canvas, ready to hang, all done in acrylic measuring 10x8. I am super pleased with how they came out, and they will look beautiful hanging on any wall. Check them out in my Etsy store.

 I had my first crochet item sale, yesterday. I love to crochet, and was thinking of giving it up, as I have no need for all these baby things. But, now I have renewed hope, lol.

Cute, Fun, Frugal Halloween Lawn Decor

Did you know, if you get paid every two weeks, there is only like 5 or 6 more paychecks until Christmas? Oh my! I drew out the most beautiful Fall horse today, and I can't wait to paint it. If you are looking for team color peacocks, you might have to place a custom order, because I think I am going to continue with the horses, at least for now. That will actually be shared here on this blog, and my homeschool blog, as it was a co assignment with me and my daughter. Below you will see an adorable set of three pumpkins. The original Pinterest post showed these pumpkins kind of sitting sideways up a pole, or stick. I chose not to mess around with all that. I purchased three dollar plastic pumpkins. My kids don't trick or treat anymore, so there was no hope of be getting any leftovers, lol. Then I bought two mum plants, one a burgundy red, and the other white. I split the burgundy mum into three plants, actually, put two in the pumpkins, and one in the ground, the white one also went into a pumpkin. I do not purchase special dirt. I use my dirt from our burn pit, and add mulch, or vegetable clippings to the dirt. Last, but not least, I bought three solar lights, from the Dollar Tree, and placed one in each pumpkin, towards the back of the pumpkin. I hope you can see how really pretty they are in the dark. So, I think I spent, maybe 15 dollars total. Once it gets closer to Christmas I will just put the plants into the ground.

Orange Daisies with Bunny Silhouette Acrylic Painting

I am starting to get Easter on the brain. No surprise since it is only a couple of months away. I have some plans for some new Cross paintings, so be sure to watch for them if you are interested. Below, is an adorable bunny visiting the orange daisy garden. Don't worry he is just sniffing them, not eating. This would be great for Spring, Easter, or for a child's room. Purple and Yellow Table Runner and Dog Sweater Harness

I just finished crocheting a Fall table runner and dog sweater harness. Because I do not follow patterns well at all, I end up coming up with my own. I love the purple and gold color combo. The table runner measures 24x12 and the main color is the purple with yellow trim. This would look beautiful on any fall table. The dog sweater harness, I have been wanting to try, but just never got to it. I had some of the awesome purple and yellow yarn left, so decided to use it up. My dog is right about ten pounds, so that is the size for this harness. I made it for easy on and off, without too much fuss, especially with the legs. Easy loops to slip your dog's front paws in, and then ties around the belly. Also slip on collar type neck. This was very simple to put on and remove. It could just be a dog sweater and use your regular collar for waling purposes. I used single crochet for maximum warmth. Wiinie The Pooh Hanging His Christmas Stocking

I love Winnie the Pooh. He is so cute, friendly, and very wise you know :) I made this counted cross stitch some years ago, now. I had it stored away, not sure what to do with it after I finished it. Recently, my mom, who loves to sew, made me this table runner and sewed the cross stitch to it. So, this is all handmade, though sewn with a sewing machine not by hand.
