You Can Now Find Me On Ebay, Redbubble and Etsy of Course

A couple of years ago I tried to sell on Society6, so I could list on Etsy like tons of other sellers do.  But the outside manufacturer application was a pain, and I didn't do it right.  Etsy will not let you apply a second time.  Anyway, I had to figure out how to tell my image size, and since my regular camera broke I had to take images with my cell phone.  I finally figured how to do HD pictures that would be the right size.  But, then I couldn't get Society6 to work, so I went to Redbubble instead.  Redbubble is easier, anyway, in my opinion.  Plus, you can set how much profit you want to make for each item.  I have not messed with that yet, but I think I will charge a little bit more for original paintings, than photography just because there is way more work involved.  You can shop for my designs, or millions of other artists, placed on cool items like mugs, tees, pillows, and so much more. You can find me on Redbubble by doing a search for Missy69.  Right now if you use code Thirtyoff you will get 30% off  Men's apparel items.  They are always offering sales, so be sure to check it often.

I also decided to take advantage of Ebay's 50 free listings each month, to try and move some inventory a little bit faster.  I was doing auctions, but now have changed to fixed price, with make an offer option.  I am slowly adding items there, some have sold already.  Here is one item, but you can click see other items, to see the rest.  I am deciding on an Ebay store, vs PatternbyEtsy with my own domain.  They both have pros and cons, and I am weighing them both.  Pattern recently made some great changes, so I need to evaluate carefully.

Etsy has decided to take away the Etsy mini, so the widget on the side of my blog will no longer be there.  You can always find me on Etsy, by searching Missy69.

I have been in the mood to paint, again, so I will be painting for a while, but still want to get more Fairy Garden, and painted canvas sneakers for Fall done, so soon, I hope.  I just finished another Tshirt for 4th of July, and that will be in my Etsy shop later today.  I am hoping I can add the image to Redbubble too.

Check Out My New Pattern by Etsy Shop

OK, not really new.  It has been about 10 days, but I have been real busy learning, updating, and creating new products.  The purpose of having the regular Etsy and then Etsy Pattern, as far as I can tell is SEO, and people who don't want to join Etsy to be able to buy products they want and love.

I have created some new painted sneakers, and working on some very cool new pieces of jewelry.  I love doing the etched glass, though it is definitely a steady hand skill.  Good thing I still have a pretty steady hand.

To visit my new shop, click the link, or simply do a search for #missy69 pattern by Etsy, in your favorite search engine.  I am considering buying the domain name, but I can't make up my mind.  My shop also has a blog, and a newsletter, so be sure to check them out if you are interested.  As soon as I get some newsletter memberships, I will send one out.

Get Ready for Garnets!

January has one of the most versatile birthstones, of any of them. The Garnet, which comes in every color possible, even blue, though that is a color shift gemstone not a true blue, but still! I do not own one of those yet. I love Garnets! They are durable, great for every day wear, and can be cut into all the popular shapes. I will be doing quite a few posts, on Garnets. Don't forget I still have a BOGO sale in progress. Buy one item at full price, get a second item of your choice at equal or lesser value. This will end January 1st, as will free shipping. USPS is raising shipping rates, by quite a bit, so I can no longer offer free shipping after January 1, 2016. So, take advantage of both of those deals while you still can. I have had several sales, since it started, so if you want something be sure and get it. I offer layaway if you need it. BTW many Etsy sellers told me a BOGO sale would not work on Etsy, and that I should just stop doing it. It has been plenty successful for me, and I think I will do it again next year at Christmas. A once a year BOGO sale, I like it! I might do an after Christmas sale, but don't take a chance, because I have not decided, and I am not sure it will be jewelry. I offer crochet items, too! Plus, my art work, and photography items, are now being offered on Society 6. So, be sure to check that out too~! I hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas! I hope to get some new inventory created soon.

Make Your Art Work For You with Society 6

For any of you who read this blog, you know that a while back, quite a while back, I wanted to take some of the hundreds of digital photos our family has taken over the years, and turn them into high quality prints and other fun items. Well, I also wanted to do it for my original paintings, and drawings. Etsy is a pain in the behind for this process. So, I decided to search for other options to suit my needs. There were some very complicated ways that I could achieve my goals, but then I found Society 6. What a wonderful website. I am brand new there, only uploaded a few things so far, and it is time consuming to get all the different products set. Some photos, can not be put on all products, but the paintings seem to work quite well. The tshirt below, is by far my favorite item created so far. My momma and baby panda bear, on a tshirt. So cute! Their prices are reasonable, and they have a sale going on right now, and they ship world wide. I of course read reviews, before I signed up, and customers love the customer service. The one thing I did read, is that if you live over seas the shipping is quite high, because you end up paying fees in your own country to have it delivered to you. So, be prepared for that, before you order. Check out the item I shared below, and then check out all my other items currently available. I suppose you could browse the other artists too. There are some super artists on there. For now, I will not be selling my original art work on Etsy, or Ebay.  They will be uploaded to Society 6 instead, where prints, tshirts, mugs, blankets, skins, phone cases, and other great items can be made.

Item Number 2 Sold for My First Ever BOGO Sale

I had my second sale, this past weekend, for my first ever BOGO sales event.  BOGO stands for buy one get one free.  One of my Rhodochrosite rings, and the Green Quartz ring, are now sold.  Don't forget I also sell paintings, and crochet items.  Something for everyone!  I just drew out my next painting, and this one will be on canvas.  I love Snowmen, and it will be special, I hope.  I still have to draw out the next horse, for my next football color team item.  That one too will be on canvas.  I found the cutest, I don't think they are ceramic, but very heavy, Santa praying over Baby Jesus figurines, at a local flea market.  They are completely unfinished, and will make adorable bookends, or table decor when I am finished.  I also started a new crochet nurse doll, that I hope will have a special touch when done.  The cap will be the hardest, and making eyes, but I could use buttons or beads.  Will see.  So visit my Etsy shop, and get two gifts for the price of one.  The sale goes all the way until January 1, 2016.

Getting Ready For the Holidays and Some Odds and Ends

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  So, this blog will be changed to all pink for the month of October.

As you probably know the holidays are quickly approaching.  I have been racking my brain feverishly thinking of all the things I want to create by then.  I don't think I have enough time, lol.  I just finished a crocheted orange and black blanket that I absolutely love.  I used a different method for changing colors and it was so much easier.  It will be in my Etsy store tomorrow.  I must tell you if you are a Cincinnati Bengals fan, or love tigers you might want to check it out.  My goal, eventually, is to make a crocheted blanket in every color combo for every football team.

To help my readers, and followers on Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook, I will be doing a flash sale every day until December.  There will be a different special each day.  To ensure I do not attract re sellers, my jewelry pieces will not get drastically marked down.  Sorry, but if there is something I can't stand is someone buying something they did not create with the soul purpose of selling it for more.  My Twitter is @melissasjewelry, Pinterest is iaminterested, and Facebook Melissa's Menagerie of Stuff.  Look me up and follow along.  I will not be posting all the flash sales here on this blog, so you will have to follow along in one of the other places.  It will show up on the Facebook widget on this page, so you could still visit this blog and find it easy enough.

Speaking of jewelry.  I was so happy to see some of the jewelry casting sellers, that I used to buy from on Ebay, selling on Etsy.  Though I am currently learning new ways to create jewelry, I have always loved and been drawn to traditional settings.  So, I will definitely be making some new pieces using those traditional settings.  Just not sure when, lol.  I guess you will  have to visit this blog often and find out.

I have noticed one thing, about Etsy.  There is a whole group of people who do not think that making jewelry with traditional settings is handmade.  Trust me I can tell you hand setting gemstones in those settings is for sure handmade.  Maybe I don't melt the silver, and then cast the setting myself, but I do hand set the gemstones, and it is not easy, and it takes a long time to learn how to do it too.  It is a craft, and if they want to be rude so be it.
