June Sale Item #2: Rose and Hummingbirds Etched Glass Vase

I have loved a lot of things that I have created, but this must be one of my favorites. It is on sale for the month of June, so don't miss out on getting it at a reduced price. This is a glass cylinder shaped vase, with a rose and hummingbirds etched into the glass. There is some room for names and dates, if you want it personalized. I draw the images onto the glass, and then using my Dremmel, I etch the image into the glass. Glass etching is permanent, and will not come off. It is dishwasher safe. I do not ship internationally, and all of my fragile pieces are shipped with Priority Mail only. To purchase this item, or view other items in my Etsy shop, click this link.Missy69 Etsy

Make It Monday: New Etched Glass Pieces

As promised my new Ebay store is open. It actually made me use from my old shop name, from years ago, Melissa's Menagerie of Stuff. That is way too long, so I changed it to Melissa's Handmade. I wanted Missy69. because that is the hashtag for my Etsy shop, but someone already had it taken.

The first theme for January, is birds. Below you will see the beautiful etched glass vase, with hummingbirds, and a rose. This came out so lovely. Great Valentine's Day gift. It is available in my Etsy store.

The other item was actually started a couple of weeks ago, and I finally got it finished. It is a set of 5 mason jar style jars with nautical items etched into the glass. These are also quite lovely, and would make great decor for a nursery, camp, bathroom, etc. They are available in my Ebay store.

Also, as promised, I will run a different sale each month. Neither shop has the same things in it, and the sales are different. For January, all rings are 50% off. Just in time to get your sweetie a nice piece of Jewelry for Valentine's Day. Click here, to go to my Etsy shop. My Ebay shop promotion for January, is 10 dollars off select items. 22 items are eligible for this deal, and are automatically marked down. To see my new Ebay store, click here.

Make It Monday: Painted Patriotic Toddler Tshirt

I guess my Make it Monday item will be done on Monday, and posted on Tuesday. I just can't seem to get enough time to get the blog post done on Monday. Anyway, this week I painted one tshirt, and started a second. I love painting on Tshirts and sneakers, my new favorite. My pink canvas sneakers, with roses and shamrocks, just sold last week.

This tshirt is lime green, or neon yellow is what my daughter said. It is a size 2T and has USA flag, and home of the brave painted onto the tshirt. The second has an Eagle on it, but it is not finished yet. Go to my Etsy store to purchase, or make a custom request.

I have had several Ebay sales. Don't forget to check out my auctions. I will be opening a shop there, not sure when that will happen, yet. I need the time to do it. This is our last full week of homeschooling, so maybe soon. For now just auctions, of old Etsy listings, and non Etsy items like unused video games.

Check Out My New Pattern by Etsy Shop

OK, not really new.  It has been about 10 days, but I have been real busy learning, updating, and creating new products.  The purpose of having the regular Etsy and then Etsy Pattern, as far as I can tell is SEO, and people who don't want to join Etsy to be able to buy products they want and love.

I have created some new painted sneakers, and working on some very cool new pieces of jewelry.  I love doing the etched glass, though it is definitely a steady hand skill.  Good thing I still have a pretty steady hand.

To visit my new shop, click the link, or simply do a search for #missy69 pattern by Etsy, in your favorite search engine.  I am considering buying the domain name, but I can't make up my mind.  My shop also has a blog, and a newsletter, so be sure to check them out if you are interested.  As soon as I get some newsletter memberships, I will send one out.

Beautiful Blue and White Handmade Gift Ideas

A day late and a dollar short, lol. I am doing a singing Christmas Tree with our church, and four other local churches. We are near performance time, so some of my days are shorter. This week, I am featuring blue and white handmade items from #teamsp. If you check previous posts I am doing daily treasuries on Polyvore, or at least trying to do daily, and then they get posted here and other social media. There are all kinds of cool gift ideas in those treasuries as well. Be sure to check them out. After Christmas I will probably only do one or two a week, and maybe around holidays. To visit each of the shops featured today, just click the link under the images.

How To Crochet the Shell Stitch

I so wish I could crochet faster, lol. I am currently finishing up an infinity scarf for a friend's birthday. It will be listed as a made to order item in my Etsy shop. I love to crochet, it is my favorite thing when I want to be distracted from other things. Unfortunately Etsy is flooded with crochet items, all pretty much the same, so most of my items are now gifts, or I donate them to various charities. It is starting to get chilly, so slippers will be on my list too. One of my most favorite stitches is the shell stitch. As you can see from the three videos below, it is a very versatile stitch. I love all things lacy, so the last video is my favorite option. Don't forget to go back on this blog, to learn the other more basic stitches that you should learn before attempting harder stitches. Have questions? Please feel free to ask. If I don't know the answer, I will try to find it for you. I hope to find some new jewelry tutorials soon. I am still trying to convince myself that I love to make earrings, it isn't working. I much prefer rings, and bracelets.
