Rustic Easter Rabbit Zentangle Wood Burned Wall Art

I simply love wood burning, or pyrography which is the official term. My mother gave me a whole bunch of wood slices, and I could not wait to do something with them. This is a hand drawn rabbit silhouette with zentangle doodle patterns, drawn then wood burned into the rabbit design. It is signed and dated. I do not trace, or transfer my drawings, they are all hand drawn. This piece is available in my Etsy store.

My Prasiolite emerald cut ring sold, the other day. I am so happy some lucky lady will be wearing that beauty soon.

Lilac Mother and Child Silhouette Hand Painted Gift Bag

I love it when I get a couple of days to just be creative. I try to work on a project at least every few days, but to have some time to just be creative, ooh I love it.

Before I get to the bag, make sure you check back in a few days. I was asked to do a promotion post for a website that I think is so cool. I am so excited to be doing the feature. I got the sample of products in the mail, on Saturday, and pictures have been taken. Now I just have to research everything about the website, and I will be ready to share. If you have a Blogspot blog, meaning Blogger, and you are or want to be an Etsy member, then hurry up and join Etsy so you can join my newest group All About Blogspot. It is not my group, but I am a member, and have been asked to be the thread creator. So hop on over and get to it. We are doing a monthly challenge, that I hope a lot will join in.

OK, now to the bag. I painted the background a lovely lilac color. I love lilac. Then the mother and child silhouette, and last but not least the arc of daisies. This is my best silhouette yet, and I think her face need to just be a little rounder, maybe, lol. It is hard to paint lips on a silhouette, I will have you know. My gift bags can be framed after use, and I offer free shipping to all USA buyers. This is perfect for Mother's Day, a baby shower, a new Grandma, or my favorite as a way to tell someone you are expecting. Visit my Etsy store to purchase, or check out all my awesome items.

Day 7 Theme: Laughter #30DOC

The theme for today, for 30 Days of Creativity Challenge, is laughter. Now at first I didn't think I was going to come up with anything for this theme. I thought of doing a photo collage of all my kid's funny faces, and that would have worked well too. But then I decided to do this painting, titled Laughter. Can't you hear them giggling and laughing? I actually chose to do this painting for a couple of different reasons, other than the theme of laughter. We just had Tropical Storm Andrea roar past us. I am always amazed at the people who feel a need to be in the angry waters of the Gulf of Mexico during such events. They put themselves in harm ways, some their kids, and the people who then have to rescue them. There are riptide warnings for a reason. This dad wanted to see the angry waters, it is rather fascinating, but he waited until the storm had passed and the sun was coming back out. Trust me the waters are still angry even after the storm passes. My other reason for doing this one, is it is Father's Day next week. And what is more beautiful than a mother sharing time with her kids? A dad spending time with his kids, and having fun. I really enjoy silhouettes, both painting and looking at them. This painting, along with many others I haven't even shared yet, will all be available in my Etsy store. I will get this one up in time for Father's Day. I might even have a frame for this one already. Tomorrow and Sunday's themes are clutter and robots. I do not have anything for clutter, but I might have something in mind for robots. I will share something else tomorrow, that is creative.

Mother and Child Silhouette Candle Jar

This is my first attempt at the mother and child silhouette. I hand paint this on a recycled jar. There is pink and white daisies all around the sides of the jar. It is signed and dated, and will be listed in my Etsy store. Get yours for Mother's Day. I will send a candle with the jar, but the jar does not have to be a candle. You can use it for whatever you wish. You could store all kinds of things in this jar. I will be making more of these in different colors and styles. I have a few varieties of silhouettes to try as well. This one was the easiest. Stop by my Etsy store by clicking the widget up above, or click here.
