If you have never tried to make your own jewelry, I recommend it. It is a great hobby, and can be a great way to give gifts, or make a little extra cash. I have lots of tutorials in the archives from many different artists. Just pick one, and give it a try. You won't be sorry.
Change is good! I have reopened a new Etsy Pattern store, called the Pink Flamingo. I have a ton of inventory to list, and could take a while. I am looking at some other new creative endeavors that have more to do with teaching. My kids are growing up, and it is time to expand my wings. Join me in this new creative adventure!

Make A Chainmaille Ripple Bracelet
Another project on my long list of projects to do list. I love chainmaille, unfortunately I find it somewhat difficult to learn, and have not had the time to dedicate to learning it. I am however hoping to at some point get a chance to do it. I especially like the bracelets. If you get a chance to try this leave me a comment, and let me know how hard or easy it is. Have a great Memorial Day weekend, everyone.

48 Hour Sale 50% Off Chrome Diopside Ring

I am starting something new. Each week I will put something on a drastic mark down for 48 hours. This is a sterling silver 5mmx4mm oval Green Chrome Diopside, and White Sapphire ring, size 5. Chrome Diopside is mined in Siberia, and is a natural gemstone with no enhancements. It is quickly becoming more popular in the jewelry market due to its kelly green color similar to fine Tsavorite, or Chrome Tourmaline. Large sizes are rare. This is a $39.99 dollar ring in my Etsy store. However, for the next 48 hours, until 9 PM Friday night, you can get this ring for $19.99. I have only one, and the price will go back up Friday night, so don't dilly dally if you want it. I do offer a layaway service, so be sure to ask about that.

Mining For Emeralds In Spruce Pine, North Carolina
Did you know that there are emerald mines right in the US? There are the Hiddenite mines in NC, that look a lot like emeralds. Then if you go to Spruce Pine, NC there are real, beautiful emeralds in the mountains there. Watch the video, and see for yourself. I am so jealous~
