Unique One Of A Kind Yellow and Black Steelers Color Painted Peacock Abstract Art

Last week I did the Bills, this week the Steelers. My husband is a die hard Steelers fan. Next will be a team that has green in it's team colors, because Peridot is the birthstone for August. My black paint pen, that I outline with, decided to die on me last night. It is much more difficult to outline with a tiny paint brush, so I kind of was not super happy with this painting. It does look stunning in the pics though. This one is yellow and black, as you can see.   I will be doing one peacock for each professional team. They are available to purchase in my Etsy shop. Another Solar Garden Upcycled Wine Jar Painted Lotus Flower Ancient Tangles

The August challenge for the Facebook group is up. I decided to do the Lotus flower type plants on a wine jug. My mom gave me about six more of them, and I was so happy. I put a solar light in them, and put them in the garden, and along the fence line. This one I painted orange, two layers, first. Then added the unique flowers, leaves and pot with ancient tangle patterns. This jar took about 3 hours to complete. It is easier to do the tangles with the paint pens, but they don't do good on top of a layer of paint, go figure. So, I used mostly acrylic paints, which takes substantially longer than the pens. I have started my painted gift bags back up, for the upcoming holiday season. Stay tuned for those. Plus, I have had angels on my mind lately. I am not sure why, but I love making them, and snowmen, lol. I was going to order some resin and make a whole bunch of snowmen, but I decided to wait until the end of August when some of this awful heat and humidity will begin to calm down. I have begun drying flowers with a new technique I read about, and I will let you know how that goes. I have so much to share. I better start doing a blog post everyday.

Painted Magnolia Leaves a Cat and a Peacock Zentangle Abstract Art

I decided to try something different, and paint on some of my Magnolia tree leaves. Magnolia leaves are big and a beautiful lush green color. I did notice, though, even though I sealed them before painting they are still drying out and getting a dark brown hue to them. I will have to watch this carefully. I will not be painting any more leaves until I am certain they will hold up over time. These two are listed in my Etsy store, but may be removed. The first is a cat silhouette outlined in gold sitting under the moon and the stars. I love this one. The second is a Peacock that I Zentangled or tangled the body of the peacock. I wanted to do the feathers on the tail as well, but it was just too small. I use a script liner paint brush, not brush pens like others, so it is extremely difficult. But, I love the challenge of doing it with a brush.


 I have finished another naptime buddy for baby, and will share that soon. Started a new bag that can be a beach bag, market bag, or even a diaper bag. Be sure to check back for that too.

Baby Sea Turtle Abstract Art

If you look at this painting you will notice it has two dates on it. That is because I painted the circles, when I had a desire to learn more about Abstract Art. Then I just set it aside, thinking, yuck I don't even like it. Well I was going through some of my older pieces of art, deciding what to do with them, and I decided to paint some baby sea turtles onto the circles. Now this abstract I love. It is done in acrylics, and would make cute nursery art. I will be doing some more abstracts similar to this type of theme. I actually have a ton of finished resin pieces to share and list in my stores, just have not had the time to catch up. Soon, so watch for them. Some of them are really unique and cool. Day 5 Water Painting Challenge

Today for day 5 of my water painting challenge I painted a picture of the springs when they were flooded this Spring. As you can see the water is green when it is flooded, or brown, or a mixture of both. Caitlin wanted me to add a deer, even though it was not in the original photo. Something went really wrong because it looks like a combo of a deer and a kangaroo. LOL. So, this would be an abstract or impressionist painting? I have no idea, but I still love it. I wish I had studied more on painting reflections, so that is another assignment for me. I had extra paint left over so I practiced some roses. I am getting closer to what I want for roses. As you can see the blending was not great because I had very little paint left.
