Make It Monday: Hearts Galore Etched Glass Vase

For Make it Monday this week, I created this beautiful pink bud vase, the graduation mug, and a new art piece for Redbubble. Staying with the theme of pink, red, hearts and love.

First up is a pink glass vase, that I used my Dremmel to etch on the words All of My Love, and Hugs and Kisses. This will be a made to order item in my Etsy, and Ebay store, as the one shown was created for my son to give to his girlfriend. He is putting chocolate kisses in it, and one long stem rose. Great for weddings, anniversaries, engagements or Valentine's Day.

I created a new art piece for Redbubble. I can not share those images here, so click this link to visit my Redbubble page, and view all the wonderful items you can purchase there.

The large glass mug was created for my son's graduation in April. I am hoping people will put coins in it. I used my Dremmel to etch the words, Let the Adventure Begin. On the opposite side it has his name, Valedictorian, and Class of 2018 etched into the glass. This also will be a made to order item in both my Etsy, and Ebay stores. They will all be listed by tomorrow February 15th, or 16th.

Etsy Christmas in July 2016 Starts on July 1st

I almost forgot about the Etsy Christmas in July Event.  I participated last year, for the first time.  I will be having a store wide sale, with 10% off.  You can use EtsyCIJ2016 at cash out, or if you forget it should automatically deduct it for you.  But, don't worry if it doesn't for some reason, I will be contacting customers with the good news about the extra savings.  This year I am trying to create all new Christmas theme items, for this event.  You don't have to do a Christmas theme, but what fun.  I have already finished a baby blanket, and working on some more items, including jewelry, some painted table decor, and maybe a few more tidbits.

Christmas in July runs from July 1st through July 10th.  Start your Christmas shopping early.  I will be sharing my items, as well as items from the team.  You can always find my shop by clicking the My Etsy Shop banner, on the left hand side of this blog.  I do custom orders as well, and I am pretty sure I can have them done by Christmas, especially if you order now, lol.

Stay tuned~  My 30 day art challenge will start after the Christmas in July event is over.

Shabby Chic Pink Rosebud Hand Painted Sneaker Tennis Shoes

I took an old pair of my white tennis sneaker shoes, painted them white, then did the rose buds and vines. These were old, but hardly worn. Now, I will wear them to see how the paint holds up. It is holding up quite well on my flip flops, so I assume these which are canvas will be the same or even better. I am considering making these made to order items, in my Etsy shop. I will need to buy a few pairs of canvas tennis shoes to show some examples. Stay tuned, if you are interested. Customers can always contact me, through my Etsy shop, to ask about custom or made to order items. These were a lot of fun to make. As you can see I tried three different types of buds to see which I liked best. Don't forget about my, christmasinjuly coupon.  It is available to use now through July 12, 2015.

Upcycled Hand Painted Large Coffee Can for Table Decor, Vase, Wine Holder, Parties, Showers Made to Order

I love to take garbage and make it beautiful. This used to have coffee in it. It is a large coffee can. I painted it with red, white and blue acrylic paints. Nothing fancy for this one, but I will be putting a plant in it, and it will be table decor, until after Summer, and then it will be moved outside in the garden. I am making this item a made to order item in my Etsy shop, Melissas Menagerie of Stuff. You can pick what you would like painted on it. If I can do it, I will. This would be great as table decor, a wine holder or other beverages, for parties, showers, weddings, and other events. Visit my Etsy shop for details. Don't forget to use coupon code, christmasinjuly, now through July 12, 2015 to get an extra 10% off all my shop items.

New In My Etsy Shop Hand Painted Snowman Mandala Ornament

Yesterday, for Art class, the kids and I sat down to paint some faces. I let them decide what face they wanted to paint. I was going to do just a Santa, Snowman or Gingerbread face on a glitter ornament. But, I changed my mind and painted the snowman mandala shown below. I am really pleased with how this came out. It is available as a made to order item, in my Etsy store.

So far, I have had two sales in my Ebay store.

Waiting For Christmas Painting and Painted Moose Picture Frame

One of these is a gift, but will a made to order item in my Etsy store. The other is a completed project and will be for sale in my Ebay store.

The first item is a hand painted oval pine wood painting titled, Waiting for Santa. This is my first attempt, and am very pleased with it. You have a little boy, and girl, their kitty cat, and teddy bear, sitting by the Christmas tree, and watching the fireplace for Santa. It will be available in my Ebay store tomorrow, 12/1 for purchase. It can be hung on the wall, or put on a shelf or mantel. To find my Ebay store, scroll to the bottom of this blog, and find the widget.

The second item is a wooden picture frame, painted with moose heads on it. This is a gift for my mother, who loves moose. It will have a special picture in it. This item will be available as a made to order item in my Etsy store.

Graduation Money Jar and Zentangled Wine Bottle Solar Garden Light

I am behind on sharing my Zentangle challenge pieces. If you don't know what Zentangle is, it is basically a fancy word for doodling. I joined an Ancient Art Zentangle group on Facebook, and each week a new set of patterns to use are posted and you design your own art piece. The first one is a bear. It is painted on a recycled, now upcycled into a solar garden light. After painting on the design my pieces are sealed twice and set in the sun to seal more. Then I took a solar garden stake, from the Dollar Tree, inserted into the jar, so the solar part is sticking out and then put it in the garden. I now have five solar garden lights completed. I think I have five more wine bottles left. They are all different designs, and you can see them in this blog. I think I am going to list them in my Etsy store as made to order only.

The second piece, is a recycled, now upcycled glass pickle jar. First I sealed the bare jar. This was an experiment to see if it helps the paint go on smoother with less streaking, and yes it works quite well. I still added three layers of purple paint as the base coats. Then I used an owl stencil, won't do that again, and tangled the owl. At first I was very disappointed, but I outlined the eyes and beak a bit better, and that satisfied me. Then on the other side, I painted the saying You're A Smartie, tangled the words, and class of 2014 at the very bottom. Last but not least, I added some tangled borders on the sides, and top. The lid was painted purple and a smartie candy super glued to it. I filled it with Smartie candies for the party, and she can reuse it for anything she wants. A money jar at her graduation party this weekend, would be awesome I think. Jars can be used to store so many different things. Again, I think I am going to list these as made to order for birthdays, graduations and weddings. I am sure Baby and Wedding showers would be awesome too.

I am caught up now, on the Zentangle posts. Now to get the rest of them done, lol. I am working on a super cute infant baby boy cocoon, so be sure to watch for that in the near future. I will also be having some new, and unique resin pieces to share.

All About Blogspot Monthly Blogger Challenge: Spring

This is the very first team challenge for the Etsy team, All About Blogspot. I am not sure how many will join in this first time, but hopefully a few will. I made the theme Spring for obvious reasons. Since I am constantly creating new things, at least every few days I hope, I wasn't sure which pieces I would share for the challenge. I decided to go with my newest creations, little girl headbands. Back in January I started to make resin pieces. My very first pour was a whole bunch of cute pieces. But, after I made them I was not sure what I would do with them. So, I listed them in my Etsy store, as cabochons for jewelry making. As they got close to expiring, I got a clever idea. I decided to make headbands with a flower, and the center of the flower would be one of these cute resin pieces. So far, I have four done, and will hopefully get one done today, before I head out the door for a homeschool play date. The two shown are a cute irridescent baby tiger cub, and an adorable puppy in a peppermint cupcake. I have tons of cute stickers, and can take custom orders for just about anything you might want. If you want to talk about a custom order headband, please contact me through my Etsy store. If you have a blogger blog, and an Etsy account, why not head over to All About Blogspot, and join in the blogging fun.

Here are the other members who participated.  I will add them as they share their posts.  Please visit and support each member.  Thank you!.
