Newborn Infant Warm Halloween Cocoon Costumes for Baby

I have not had time to relist, or list any new or old inventory. I did not get to paint this week, though I have two projects started. I did get to crochet some cute angel bookmarks, which are much easier than the cross bookmarks, and they will be listed in my Etsy store soon. I also have a pink and purple little girl first birthday cake in the works, that will include pull ups, instead of diapers, and a crochet skull tablecloth also in the works. You would think I would finish one project before starting another. But, I hate scrap yarn lying around, so I am finding small projects to use them up on.

If you have a newborn, or infant, then Halloween can be really cold. Some people love to dress their babies up, and take them out trick or treating. I have a whole line of baby cocoons with Halloween type themes, that will have baby looking adorable and stay nice and warm. There is one example below, for a mermaid, but click here to see the rest of them in my Etsy shop. They make great photo props too.

Red and Black Newborn Baby Shower Diaper Cake with Rompers Beanies Blanket and Kitty Lovey Plus Others

I need to take another picture, this one came out too dark. But, anyways, I used to sell the cocoon, blanket, and lovey separate, but I decided to add a few more pieces, and sell them all together. All items are crocheted, hence handmade by me. It is not assembled as a diaper cake yet, for two reasons. 1- I don't want all those diapers lying around my house, and 2- I want the buyer to be able to select the size diapers they want. In this complete red and black set, you will receive: 1- 30 diapers of the size of your choosing, 2- Two button up the back rompers one red one black. 3- Two beanie hats one red one black 4- two baby washcloths one red one black 5- one red and black infant blanket 6- one red and black baby sleep cocoon great for photo props too 7- one red and black kitty snuggle buddy lovey which is a blanket with an animal friend to sleep with or drag around to play with. That is 39 items all for one great price. I offer free USA shipping, and if you want to make a custom request for colors, contact me through my Etsy shop. I think I am going to do a toddler one next. This would be a great baby shower gift. If you want custom colors, it does take a while to make the items, and you can ask about other items as well, so be sure to plan ahead. I can not whip one of these out in a week. Be sure and check out my orange and white one, also listed in my Etsy store.

Baby Boy Newborn Camouflage Crochet Cocoon Sleeping Bag

I do not have a baby boy doll, so I had to use the girl doll. She doesn't really have hair, so I guess she kind of looks like a boy. This will be my last cocoon, for a while. I will be working on my crochet squares for Warm Up America. It is a great cause, and you can help too. Check out their website to learn more. I also donated two more of my cocoons, that had been in my Etsy store for some time. I donate them to Newborns in Need, the Gainesville office. You can check out their website, it you are interested in helping out, Newborns in Need. They are one of the few charities that will accept handmade items to be donated, as is Warm up America. The cocoon, or sleeping bag, shown below is camouflage yarn with matching hat. It is great for a photo prop, first Halloween costume, or just for baby to sleep in and stay nice in warm. It is four newborn to three months. It is not listed in my store yet, but will be later today.

New Baby Infant Boy Cocoon Golf Theme Brown and Green with Hat

I finally finished the infant baby boy cocoon, in a Golf theme. These are not hard to make, but they are kind of time consuming to put together, and I just have to force myself to do it. The color of this is Mocha Latte and Hunter Green. I have mentioned before that I am pom pom illiterate, so the hat actually looks like it has a golf ball up there. This would make an adorable photo prop for a baby boy born around Father's Day. Plus cocoons are warm and baby feels extremely safe inside. Check out this cocoon, and all my baby cocoons in my Etsy store.

Maroon Burgundy Infant Baby Girl Cocoon with Resin Flower Headband

This is my newest infant baby girl cocoon. It is maroon, or burgundy, with crochet white flower accents. The headband is maroon with a white flower. The center of the flower is one of my resin cabochons with a coral rose in the center of it. This is so cute, and would make an awesome photo prop and then the cocoon keeps baby warm and safe. It is available for purchase in my Etsy store now.

I just finished some cute new painted gift bags, that I will share in the next few days.

Questions About My Jewelry and Flash Sale Princess Cocoon

Every now and then someone on Etsy accuses me of selling manufactured jewelry, and not making it myself. I really can't believe I have to speak of this yet again. I have said on my opening page about my store, and when asked by Etsy officials where I buy my settings and gemstones. So, let me make this clear. I do not sell manufactured jewelry. No, I do not make the settings myself, but I do buy from one gentleman on Ebay who does. I also buy semimounts and settings from JTV.com, Rio Grande, Rings N Things, and a couple of other Ebay sellers. I have been learning and collecting gemstones for almost 14 years. I have taught myself to set the gemstones into the castings and semi mounts. If you think this is an easy job to do, then try it and let me know. It is a skill and a craft. If other sellers think my prices are too cheap, I disagree. They are affordable, which is exactly why I started making my own jewelry, to keep it affordable. I am not interested in whether others agree with my pricing system, or not. I make very little profit and most times none, on my jewelry pieces. You can look up any of the companies I listed and see the products available to buy, for jewelry making. I hope this has cleared up this issue, and I will not have to address it again. I don't mind answering questions, I love that, I do mind rude people, or other sellers trying to undermine me. I would never ever do that to anyone, so please don't do it to me. I am very supportive of others who are in turn supportive to me, even my competitors. My flash sale item for today, is a Princess infant baby cocoon. You can purchase it for $9.99 in my Etsy store, or Ecrater store. Sale price ends at 9PM tonight, so get it if you want it.

Happy New Year or Snowman Infant Cocoon with Top Hat

I hurried to finish this before my Craft Fair this Saturday, and got it finished today. It can either be a Snowman set or Happy New Year, and I have to say this top hat would look as cute on a small dog or cat as a baby. I will have to make more of these. The hat takes almost three hours to complete itself. To see all the images visit my Etsy store. The cocoon is off white with a blue scarf to match the ribbon around the top hat. It is so cute. I will be shortly be beginning work on two cocoons for Christmas, that I just can not wait to see how they come out. If there is anything you want in my store, put it on Layaway, or purchase because my shop will be put on vacation for a week, for the two craft fairs. I am taking all my items with me, so better check for your favorites before the 13th.

Theme Friday Peridot Green

Theme Friday post for 8/9/2013 Peridot Green. Since my birthday is in August, and Peridot is the birthstone for August, I decided to do a lime green Theme Friday. Each week, on my Facebook page, I offer up a theme. Anyone can share an item that fits the theme. Each item shared gets tweeted, pinned and shared on my personal FB page, then gets a post right here on this blog each Saturday. Sound fun? Then join in! This week I got two items to share. A Kermit the Frog green crocheted baby cocoon with hat. This would make a great photo prop, Halloween costume, or just to keep baby warm while sleeping. Next, is a lovely Lime Green and Teal Bottle Cap necklace. These are so cute and would make awesome gifts or stocking stuffers. Keep some handy for those surprise birthday parties. Click each highlighted link to go to their respective Etsy stores to buy or browse some more. Thanks for looking. Leave me a comment. I love comments.

Day 19 Princess Crochet Cocoon #30DOC

Today is day 19 of the 30 Days of Creativity Challenge, and I finally finished the preemie Princess Cocoon with Tiara headband. This just has to have the loose ends sewn in and then it will be available for purchase in my Etsy store. I really like this, and it can be for sleep, Halloween, a photo prop or all of those options. Preemies need to look cute too. I decided on the tiara headband over the other princess hat I was going to do, just because the tiara is more like a princess. I might add some pearl embellishments to it before I list it. What do you think?

Day 8 #30DOC Preemie Infant Frog Cocoon

Well guys I think I have the flu, or at the very least a very bad cold. I have a fever, aches, horrible sore throat and breathing is difficult. So, sleep will be my best friend for the next couple of days. I have family coming to visit in just a few days, so I need to get better fast. Sleep and lots of fluids is the best way to get better fast. Today for day 8 of the 30 Days of Creativity I made the cocoon part of the preemie frog cocoon set. I had already did half and finished the second half and crocheted it all together. Just have to do the little hat. I love these cocoons. They can be used as photo props and Halloween costumes as well. If I am still able to sit up I will finish it tomorrow. This one was my daughter's idea. She likes frogs! I have a bunch of other cute ones I would like to do as well, and I do preemie ones because there is not alot in the preemie market.
