Alright, it is almost Christmas.  You know what that means, right?  Time to get ready for New Years, and Valentine's Day.  Believe it or not, when you sell online, and promote your own items, you need to start promoting your items ahead of time.  I have been promoting Christmas since September, now for the next holidays.  I don't have a ton of stuff for New Years, or Valentines Day, yet.  But, I will start working on it.  I have some cool ideas, for Valentines Day, I just hope I can get them done in time.  Below  you will see a Baby New Years Cocoon with Top Hat.  This is all crocheted, very warm, and the hat is more of a photo prop than anything else.  Check it out in my Etsy store, while I still have free shipping, and my BOGO sale going on.  You could get two cocoons, or any other item, 2 for the price of one.  All the details are in my shop home, so be sure to read how it works.  You can always message me on Etsy, as well.

Newborn Infant Warm Halloween Cocoon Costumes for Baby

I have not had time to relist, or list any new or old inventory. I did not get to paint this week, though I have two projects started. I did get to crochet some cute angel bookmarks, which are much easier than the cross bookmarks, and they will be listed in my Etsy store soon. I also have a pink and purple little girl first birthday cake in the works, that will include pull ups, instead of diapers, and a crochet skull tablecloth also in the works. You would think I would finish one project before starting another. But, I hate scrap yarn lying around, so I am finding small projects to use them up on.



If you have a newborn, or infant, then Halloween can be really cold. Some people love to dress their babies up, and take them out trick or treating. I have a whole line of baby cocoons with Halloween type themes, that will have baby looking adorable and stay nice and warm. This is the baby girl version of my crochet bear set. This is a dress, and hat, for newborn to 3 months. I love the pink ears, and ruffle. I can do the ears and ruffles in other colors, it will have to be a custom request item. If you have twins, this would be adorable. This could technically be for a baby girl, but I will be doing a set with a dress and hat, so that will definitely be for a little girl. Pink Peatunias Soft Baby Girl Cocoon with Pink Boa Fringe

Continuing with my goal to make a bunch of pink items for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Is this not the cutest thing ever? This is my first time using this bulky yarn. It is so soft, and wonderful. It feels like our rabbit's fur, it is so soft. It is a little more expensive, and kind of hard on the hands, but so worth it. I will be using more of this yarn, for lots of projects. I couldn't get the hat to come out right, yarn was too bulky. But, it is adorable all by itself. This is a baby cocoon for a newborn infant girl. These make awesome photo props for photographers, or parents who just want to take their own shots without spending a fortune. It is also a sleeping cocoon, for warmth in the cold months. All yarn is warm, but this is super warm. The boa is attached but can easily be removed. I do not suggest letting baby sleep with the boa on. It would be very dangerous to do so. So, please remove it when done with pictures. I also think my cocoons would make great kitten, or cat caves. They would have a ball with any of the cocoons available in my store. Orange and Black Infant Baby Pumpkin Cocoon with Hat

I love making these crochet baby cocoons. I make them in the designs and colors of my choosing. They make great photo props, Halloween costumes, and also to keep baby warm at night. The cocoon is like a warm, and safe sleeping bag. This one is a Halloween pumpkin. The hat is the carved face of the pumpkin. So adorable. White Lace Infant Baby Girl Angel Cocoon Halloween Photo Prop With Pink Wings

The wings are sold separately from the cocoon and headband. Some people might not want the wings. The wings do not attach, they just lie behind baby. The cocoon is a crochet v stitch that looks like lace, and is my favorite stitch. It is white for a newborn baby girl to three months. The headband has tiny pink pearls at the tips. These make awesome sleepers to keep baby warm when sleeping, photo props, Halloween for baby's first Halloween and this one I think would be beautiful for a Christening. New Baby Infant Boy Cocoon Golf Theme Brown and Green with Hat

I finally finished the infant baby boy cocoon, in a Golf theme. These are not hard to make, but they are kind of time consuming to put together, and I just have to force myself to do it. The color of this is Mocha Latte and Hunter Green. I have mentioned before that I am pom pom illiterate, so the hat actually looks like it has a golf ball up there. This would make an adorable photo prop for a baby boy born around Father's Day. Plus cocoons are warm and baby feels extremely safe inside. Maroon Burgundy Infant Baby Girl Cocoon with Resin Flower Headband

This is my newest infant baby girl cocoon. It is maroon, or burgundy, with crochet white flower accents. The headband is maroon with a white flower. The center of the flower is one of my resin cabochons with a coral rose in the center of it. This is so cute, and would make an awesome photo prop and then the cocoon keeps baby warm and safe. Luck of the Irish Infant Baby Cocoon with Hat

I just finished this new infant baby cocoon. The cocoon is Forest Green with Antique White trim. I was going to make the hat, but then I found this adorable Irish hat at the store. The hat is plastic and has a string to keep it on. This piece will be in my Etsy store, and Ecrater store,  in the next few minutes. It is for a newborn infant. I just finished some cute new painted gift bags, that I will share in the next few days.

Completed Crochet Boys Viking Hat for Halloween and The Grinch

I finished my son's crochet Viking Hat. He is studying Vikings for History right now, so I decided to make him a hat for Halloween. Not sure how the rest of the clothes are going to go, but we will see. It isn't like the Vikings were real fashionistas. This is a made to order item, in my Etsy store. You can pick your color and size. Then I finished my baby Grinch cocoon with hat. I am working on Cindy Lou Who right now. I love the Grinch, one of my all time favorite Christmas specials, next to Charlie Brown. You can purchase either of these items by visiting my Etsy store. Crochet Viking Hat for Halloween

Well I had my first vending experience today. I did not sell anything, but I learned a lot. Most people were looking for items in the 5-10 dollar range. None of the items I had with me fall into this range. Matter of fact most jewelry you can make, unless you buy junk, would not fall into this range just because of the cost of supplies. But, my Mom sold quite a bit, she had the right range, and that was awesome. She just had to put a lot of money into her car to be fixed so she really needed to earn some back. It was extremely hot, and I won't do a craft show this time of year again, at least not outside. Caitlin had a ball too. DJ is studying Vikings in History class right now. So, I decided to make him a Viking hat to wear for Halloween this year. So far I have the hat and the beard done, as shown, and just need to make the horns and attach them. He picked the colors he wanted, and since I can not follow a pattern to save my soul I just make my own. This will be available to order as a custom order in my Etsy store, once it reopens next Saturday. It is currently on vacation until after my garage/yard/craft sale next Saturday morning. I really like the beard, it is cool, lol!

Happy New Year or Snowman Infant Cocoon with Top Hat

I hurried to finish this before my Craft Fair this Saturday, and got it finished today. It can either be a Snowman set or Happy New Year, and I have to say this top hat would look as cute on a small dog or cat as a baby. I will have to make more of these. The hat takes almost three hours to complete itself. To see all the images visit my Etsy store. The cocoon is off white with a blue scarf to match the ribbon around the top hat. It is so cute. I will be shortly be beginning work on two cocoons for Christmas, that I just can not wait to see how they come out. Day 19 Princess Crochet Cocoon #30DOC

Today is day 19 of the 30 Days of Creativity Challenge, and I finally finished the preemie Princess Cocoon with Tiara headband. This just has to have the loose ends sewn in and then it will be available for purchase in my Etsy store. I really like this, and it can be for sleep, Halloween, a photo prop or all of those options. Preemies need to look cute too. I decided on the tiara headband over the other princess hat I was going to do, just because the tiara is more like a princess. I might add some pearl embellishments to it before I list it. What do you think?
